This is a very simplistic book, perhaps likewise much so where 75 questions most ask nigh narcissists are answered in short sentences or brief paragraphs.

It'southward a skillful starting point book but I felt it repeated areas a lot and didn't have enough information for the person enlightened of narcissism traits and looking for real solutions or answers.

I would recommend this if y'all've not already read a lot on this subject. I read this nether an hr at 101 pages and hoped to become a chip more for my money. 3 stars. A fair effort.

A piddling more fascinating information from the book: "Narcissists are terrible parents. They don't empathize with their children, so lots of thing happen to children of narcissists that shouldn't. Some narcissistic parents are the "ignoring" type, and some are the "engulfing" type. (Some narcissistic parents practice both). Ignorers are neglectful and disinterested in their kids, and their children are often targets for abuse past many. Engulfers are controlling and don't let their children breathe or abound upward."

Children of narcissists are about e'er given a dysfunctional family unit role, such as "golden chld" (tin can exercise no wrong in the narcissist's eyes) or "scapegoat" (can do no correct in the narcissist'southward eyes).

Well, this book is a quick read just full of important information. Read it. Information technology won't take much fourth dimension.

Some criticized this book equally likewise simplistic but I found it "curt, sweet, and to the point." A good read for someone just learning most this disorder or a friend or family fellow member of someone suffering/recovering from egotistic abuse who would similar to larn more than.

Dreadful .. a meagre 128 pages of stuff you could detect gratuitous online. Don't buy it. Writer is a total unknown.

Dreadful pointless book. Do non waste material your money. The author is a spurious unsubstantiated individual who calls herself Lite / Michelle Ede / Drew Keys . She says her electronic mail address is lite at lightshouse dot org in the back of the book.
There is no information whatsoever to reveal the credentials of the writer. All this book says is that Light / Michelle Ede / Drew Keys helped put together the website lightshouse dot org. A quick search shows that the website lightshouse dot org no longer exists. There is no explanation as to why it has shut downwardly.

There appears to exist a great deal of controversy online about the webpage that Light / Michelle Ede / Drew Keys was involved with called narcissistic mothers dot org which is notwithstanding upwards and running. Light / Michelle Ede / Drew Keys collaborated with narcissist kid dot org earlier cobbling together this meagre 128 page effort.

The other author who put together narcissist child dot org is Danu Morrigan.. Real name Tracey Culleton. who has written three titles on narcissistic mothers. So Danu Morrigan / Tracey Culleton and Light / Michelle Ede / Drew Keys appear to have collaborated on the website narcissist child dot org. narcissist child dot org is not a free site.. Asking for membership fees and selling dreadful, badly designed T-shirts, mugs, posters and necklaces.. Hmm. Not something I associate with legitimate authors. narcissist child dot org sells a subscription chosen "the healing lodge" at a rate of $17 a calendar month to gain access to a handful of videos which could have been posted on YouTube but were not. In other words everything about narcissist child dot org looks bogus. it doesn't look like something I would expect from an experienced and informed writer. Information technology looks like a lame endeavor to sell substandard products. I'm simply glad that I didn't purchase any of her books. there are lots and lots of actually great YouTubes bachelor on this discipline which are free so I see no point in gaining membership to narcissist child dot org.

There are a lot of people who have complaints about the way narcissist child dot org was managed maxim they were bullied, blocked and kicked out of the grouping for 1 reason or some other. In other words in that location'due south all sorts of dramas there. it'southward very disappointing that a lot of these evidently well known books on the subject of narcissism are written by such dreadful authors. Many of them are short, desperately written, incorporate petty or no information that can't exist establish online. Also the authors have no professional credentials. And they have the nervus to accuse eight or 9 pounds for these dreadful books.

So to summarise, I was not impressed past this book at all. Very simple basic looking questions and reply format that uses huge writing and lots of white spaces. In other words it looks like it was thrown together in a very short amount of time. I don't similar the title either.. it smacks of melodrama.
Information technology's very brusk at 128 pages because they charge nearly nine pounds for the volume. I felt ripped off past it. Information technology didn't take a professional wait at all.
Information technology looks to me equally though they but copied and pasted staff of the Internet. It hasn't been written in a nuanced or subtle way. It'due south blatant obvious points repeated.
This isn't the first time I've had complaints about the number of badly written books on the market about narcissists. there seems to exist a rash of them cropping up. Too not certain why they attract and so many glowing reviews. I have my doubts nearly the reviews. also it's notable that this author is merely produced 1 book then far. In other words information technology was simply a one-off affair. Badly researched at that.

Having been ripped off more than one time for badly written books on this subject, ane of the few books that that seem to be much better researched and well written is. The Object of My Affection is in My Reflection: Narcissists and Their Relationships author with proper credentials. And you tin can tell by the way it is written..full of detail and referencing.

I would recommend that people studiously avoid this book, and presumably the ones past her online collaborator based on the dodgy 17 dolla membership and cheesy mugs, t shirts etc… ugh. if y'all're going to spend the coin there are MUCH better books on this subject.

        Adept read!

Not comprehensive by whatsoever means, but this volume is more of a highlight, or the summary version, into the globe of NPD. I'grand the victim of a NPD spouse, and this book definitely validated many of the things I've endured over the by thirty years. I certainly take much more than to learn nearly NPD and, more importantly, how to rise above the blame-shifting and gaslighting. The more I tin can acquire about my spouse, the meliorate I tin can dissever myself from the corruption. I desire to acquire to stop being his victim and take responsibility for my emotions and unrealistic expectations of a human relationship that will never be what I need.

I agree with the majority of reviews that it was too simplistic. For $7.l on Amazon (Kindle edition) I expected something that took longer than 1 hour to read. Yes, her insights were very adept, but there wasn't much more than what I had already establish through internet searches...

This volume was more than textbook. Listing all the definitions for words associated with narcissism. The last chapter would exist informative for someone who is just starting their research on the subject matter.
